Hertel begins conversion of Agile accommodation
Agile is a cable-laying vessel that lays flexible pipelines on the seabed at a depth of two kilometres. Over the coming five years, the ship will be working for Petrobras along the Brazilian coast.
Hertel will be removing and replacing all ceilings, wet-units, floors, furniture, cold stores and freezers. In addition, all walls will be equipped with SHARP (Standard Hertel Accommodation Refurbishment Panels), a product developed by Hertel that is installed against the existing wall.
An additional engine room is also being installed and Hertel will be insulating walls, surfaces and outlets. Specialists are replacing the insulation in the existing engine room.
