Joy, 38, lives in Shanghai, China, which she describes as “attractively both modern and traditional”.

Having worked in the accounting department at Hertel-Yanda since the company’s “birth” there, Joy sees it as a baby which she cares for.
“With all the care and attention not to let anything wrong happen to this ‘baby’ along the way all the time that she has been growing, I am delighted to see she is getting stronger and bigger. As you can see, everybody is making an effort for her growth. Whenever there is a discussion on company issues, people are ready to share their opinions with thorough consideration.

For Joy, the best three things about working for Hertel are the achievements of obtaining the Income Tax Benefit for company, maintaining capital security for the company and to have set up a basic ERP management module from accounting, salary, fixed assets, to inventory.
“Next step is to integrate procurement in this system.”
Looking into the future, Joy predicts: “When that time comes I would be celebrating our company’s fifth birthday. And, Hertel shall root herself deep and wide in China or else the company cannot enjoy benefit from all the favorable policies.”
