Capacity expansion at MAG Grimma
At the end of 2007 MWL Apparatebau GmbH Grimma, Grimma (MAG) started running of a second 125to crane in the fabrication and assembly workshop.
The present crane runway has been reinforced by additional steel girders on a length of 75 m. Together with the already existing 125to — crane the area for heavy pressure vessels will be tripled. This investment mainly has been realized by LHS Hebe- und Zurrtechnik GmbH, Berlin in cooperation with SHB Saalfelder Hebezeugbau GmbH, Saalfeld and Stahl- und Brückenbau Niesky GmbH, Niesky as well as by Attika Bau GmbH, Grimma.
MAG managing director Dr. Andreas Barg: “For our company this starting up is by far the biggest single investment for many years. MAG - founded 1867 - fabricates heat exchangers, reactors, columns and pressure vessels in the range of medium weight and size, employs around 140 people and in 2007 generated total revenues of more than EUR 20 Mio.
