Millions of Euro's Contract for Hertel Marine Services
Consafe/McNulty Joint Venture have recently awarded Hertel Marine Services International a nine million Euro order for the outfitting of 86 modules for the Kashaghan project in the Caspian Sea.
The modules will be housed on two barges that will be used as living quarters for oil company Agip on its development in the Caspian Sea. The order includes insulation, bulkheads, flooring, ceilings, doors, equipment, furniture, electrical and piping.
Hertel will outfit the modules at the A&P Facilities in Newcastle, where they have rented fabrication sheds and established site offices. The modules will be placed on the barges at the McNulty yard. After all systems are connected and checked (the so called hook-up) the barges will be transferred to their final destination in The Caspian sea.
The works are to be finalised in April 2006.
Some one-and-a half years ago Hertel expanded Hertel Marine Services into the United Kingdom. At the end of last year Hertel received some smaller orders. This is its first major order, confirming Hertel Marine Services’ permanent presence in the United Kingdom.
