Quality and safety standards endorsed in Australia

Hertel Modern has recently been successful in achieving ISO 9001:2008, ISO14001:2004, AS 4801:2001 and OHSAS18001:2007, certification in Australia.

These standards describe the core elements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving a Quality, Environmental and Safety management system, and are geared towards continuous improvement.

The registrations cover the Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management System for the provision of project management, engineering design, procurement, construction, modification, maintenance and operations for onshore and offshore oil, gas and petrochemical industries at all offices and project sites.

SAI Global conducted an audit of Hertel Modern in November 2011, within the requirements of international standards relating to audit practice such as ISO/IEC 17021, ISO 19011 and other normative criteria.

The certification process was steered by both Peter Capone (Corporate Manager HSE) and Garry Dare (Corporate Manager Quality). Peter said "It is important that you are transparent in the way you do business. Another important requirement for certification is to be fully compliant with all laws and regulations. To be eligible for the certificate you really must be the best of the class. Congratulations to the team in Australia with this great step forward.”

Andrew White, Hertel Modern Managing Director, said “Certification is recognition of our sound Business Management System and provides confidence to clients, suppliers and our stakeholders that we can deliver safely and in a environmentally responsible manner. It’s a great credit to our team.”
