Industrial Fireproofing

Hertel provide the application of high quality fire protection systems for customers in the oil industry, petrochemicals and power stations.
Every application is fully tailored to the wishes and requirements of each project and of each client. The installation or fitting of fireproofing must be simple, but at the same time offer a highly effective performance. Our aim is not only to offer the customer practical and affordable solutions, but also a guarantee of productivity and quality in the application of fire protection.

Hertel can offer a full package of passive fire protection products and systems. Our company also holds the IDO 9002 for fitting passive fire protection products.

Projects can be carried out on-site, or in our extensive off-site facilities including logistics management and installation of finished materials where appropriate.

Spraying techniques


A fire-resistant vermiculite coating is sprayed onto skirts, vessels, columns, girders, offshore bulkheads and offshore steel deck. In accordance with the Hydrocarbon curve the fire resistance may vary from 30 to 120 minutes.

Polyurethane Casting


Hollow voids can be filled with cast in situ polyurethane hard foam. A number of polyurethane systems meet fire class B2 or B1. Suitable for piping, vessels, tanks, floats, air receivers, chiller and freezer rooms.
