Right from the quotation stage we help our customer think and listen properly to their wishes and the time factor. Within the limits and restrictions indicated by the customer, we ensure far-reaching harmonisation of workload and manpower, logistics and timesaving, where the focus is always on safety and quality.
Our approach is characterised by openness to our customer: the client is invited to every planning meeting and coordination meeting. Not only does that make things clear to him, Hertel is convinced that cooperation and helping one another think provides benefits for both parties. However a customer does not have to give his valuable time to every one of these meetings; Hertel provides one person as a point of contact, who keeps the client fully informed of the progress of the work.
During peak periods of a project Hertel can temporarily draw large numbers of skilled and trained manpower.
Large-scale projects are very demanding on logistics. This is where the greatest benefit can be reaped as far as Hertel is concerned. For example, we try to keep movements of manpower on a project to a minimum, by using time-saving methods. These include bringing material in on pallets, using transporters, large flat vehicles and reach stackers (hoist vehicles that can lift heavy material 17 to 20 metres high, a great saving compared with traditional rope hoists). As a result our people can go on working on site virtually continuously. This method of efficient and safe working keeps our prices low and ensures that the quality of the work supplied is high.
The mechanical and engineering capability of Hertel allows us to provide detailed design, fabrication and commissioning of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and special process equipment, pipework and structural steel, and rotary equipment.
Coupled with the complete package of industrial services, and the civil engineering capability to construct complete Contractors Villages for large projects - Hertel has the expertise and capability to provide a complete spectrum of services for plant construction, modification, maintenance, and decommissioning projects.
