Onsite Bolt Machining & Bolt Tensioning

Hertel offers various onsite machining and bolt tensioning services, carried out by trained, experienced personnel including:

Flange Facing


Flange facing can be carried out using either bore mounted or external mounted machines.
Hertel holds a comprehensive range of flange facing machines offering a range of different surface finishes. Machines can be supplied to machine plant items up to 3m diameter.

Drilling, Boring and Stud Cutting


A specialised service for general drilling, boring and stud removal is available covering all major sizes found in general

Pipe Cutting and Prepping


A number of bore mounted or external mounted machines are available to cover pipe cutting and prepping requirements.
Cutting and prepping simultaneously can be carried out achieving straight cut, standard bevel and ‘J’ prep on pipework up to 80” diameter

Heat Exchanger Work


Tube pulling, tube plugging and tube testing can be carried out. Tubes up to 2½” diameter can be pulled with the use of hydraulic pulling machines, this reduces service time and
improves safe working. The additional service of bolt torquing and bolt tensioning is available, allowing the machines team to multi task should the client require both services.

Milling Facility


A Milling Facility is also available for the Milling of Pump and Motor Bed Plates. Heat Exchanger Pass Bar and Divisional Slots can also be Milled, reinstating Joint Integrity.
