Hertel Supporting the Bahrain Sporting Community

Hertel has renewed its sponsorship of popular local Basketball team Isa Town Sports Club, Bahrain.

Founded in 1968, the club has just finished in the national playoffs for the first time in its history, narrowly losing to eventual league champions Al Ahli. Some fans see Hertel as a good luck charm!

Star player, Jihad Ahmed, had a great season wearing number 14. The 20 year old looks forward to even greater success in the red and silver motif that Hertel will continue to provide into the next season.

‘It really is great for some of us to see that since Hertel came to Bahrain, they take an active interest in the community’ said Sayed Salmaan, GPIC site manager for Hertel. ‘Some of the guys that work in the company are mad for basketball, and some of those have Isa Town as their favourite team.’

The Zain National League has really grown in stature over the past few seasons as a mix of youthful talented locals and experienced ex NBA players come together to electrify the local stadia. At Hertel we appreciate that the mix of youth and experience in this competitive market is what helps us stand out from the competition.

We wish Isa Town Sports Club all the best for the 2010-11 Season!
