Realigning Hertel
Following a phase of strong growth in turnover and advancing internationalisation of the business in 2006 – 2010, Hertel realigned its business focus in 2011.
In our Annual Report 2011, you will find more background information concerning the main developments of our businesses and the financial results of 2011.
Through the process of internationalisation, Hertel has become a global player capable of providing its key clients international support from a worldwide network of companies. Although our Group revenues increased slightly, our results fell sharply compared to 2010. This led to disappointing results in 2011. To return to profitability in 2012, the in 2011 newly appointed Executive Board has started with a comprehensive recovery plan to improve the quality of our organisation. Over the coming years, our focus will be to deliver on consolidation, further professionalisation of the organisation and of the operational processes.
The execution of our improvement plan has strengthened our financial position significantly and with our well-filled order book, the outlook for this year is positive. Many of the actions that are put in place are already showing good results and that gives us a strong confidence in the further, positive, development of our company.
