Making Milestones in Malaysia
With memories of the previous milestone still fresh in the mind, the Hertel team at the Sime Darby Yard in Malaysia recently celebrated a further safety achievement.
Six weeks on from passing 50,000 man-hours LTI free, the team have doubled the achievement, crossing the threshold of 100,000 hours on 16th November.
Lando Bax and Nasir Hal, Construction Managers for Hertel and SDE, led the celebrations at the yard, presenting “Best Workers Awards” to six of Hertel’s employees.
Safety Officer Krishnan Thangavalu reminded the team of the importance of working safely: “It’s better to lose a minute in life, than to lose a life in a minute.”
As ever, the Goal is Zero as the team head towards the next milestone.
