Hertel signs contract with Shell for the Draugen ALQ

Hertel Offshore, part of the international multi-disciplinary industrial services company Hertel, has signed a contract for the EPC delivery of the Shell Draugen Additional Living Quarter.

The Living Quarter will accommodate 44 people and will be designed according to the Norsok standards. Both the know-how on Norsok standards and the fact that this is a fast track program were important elements in the decision process of Shell to award the contract to Hertel. On time delivery is crucial and Hertel has shown in past projects to be very capable of doing so.

With an immediate project start, delivery of the module is scheduled for May 2013. Construction will be done at the Hertel Offshore premises in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Peter van Aken, Managing Director of Hertel Offshore in the Netherlands: “We are very excited to work with Norske Shell on this project. It builds on the great experience and know-how we have demonstrated on previous projects and it is another significant step for Hertel Offshore in the important Norwegian market.”
