For construction or modification projects, Hertel are able to draw upon large pools of skilled workers, providing every discipline necessary for the construction or modification of plants and installations. Our project management and logistics skills ensures that all of the different processes and disciplines are synchronised, delivering projects on-time with no surprises.
When it comes to maintenance, our customers can rely on us to perform the most complex shutdowns and turnarounds safely and efficiently. Indeed, by carrying out over a million man-hours of shutdowns and turnarounds every year, our skills have been honed to perfection.
Managing a project of any size requires an organised approach to maintain efficiency whilst simultaneously improving quality and safety. After a successful pilot, Hertel have rolled out a Business Improvement programme throughout our operations. The data driven approach we use drives out inefficiencies and optimises processes to make them as near perfect as possible.

Above everything else for Hertel comes safety. We work hard to make sure that safety isn’t just in the minds of our people, but that they follow safe working practices too.
We follow all safety schemes laid down by customers, and next to that we’ve implemented a far-reaching programme of our own. This safety strategy is based on two elements: training and development for leadership, and workplace safety assessments that are both regular and intensive.
