Most importantly, Hertel has established itself as a worldwide leader in LNG Insulation systems, Mechanical Installation services, Fire Protection, Scaffolding Access and Protective Coatings. These services have been developed in response to the unique needs of both the field based construction activities in addition to the challenges of plant modularization.
Against today’s highly competitive market, Hertel’s experience with a broad range of geography’s, plant delivery strategies and process technologies has provided the framework for the establishment of its own global LNG ‘Centre of Competence’ group. Drawing together its global knowledge to further support the development of unique techniques that improve the productive application of cryogenic insulation.
Every year, Hertel carry out over a million man-hours in shutdown and overhaul projects. Such projects are logistically demanding, and it is through our proven reliability that customers trust us to projects on time and on budget.
Likewise, in recent years Hertel have provided thousands of skilled people and the required project management skills to help our customers deliver huge new-build projects throughout the Middle East and Asia.
Managing a project of any size requires an organised approach to maintain efficiency whilst simultaneously improving quality and safety. After a successful pilot, Hertel have rolled out a Business Improvement programme throughout our operations. The data driven approach we use drives out inefficiencies and optimises processes to make them as near perfect as possible.

Above everything else for Hertel comes safety. We work hard to make sure that safety isn’t just in the minds of our people, but that they follow safe working practices too.
As well as following all safety schemes laid down by customers, we also follow a far-reaching programme of our own. This safety strategy is based on two elements: training and development for leadership, and workplace safety assessments that are both regular and intensive.
