1860 m², nine stories up
At the facilities in The Netherlands, Hertel has been constructing the nine storey building totalling 1860 m² which includes 40 single bed cabins, kitchens and galleys, recreational areas, a medical centre, helipad and a large control room. The structure is part of a new platform which will be located in the Valemon field as part of one of Statoil’s development projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
When Hertel has finished its work, the unit will be shipped to Samsung’s yard in Geoje, Korea, and lifted onto the platform which is currently under construction.
