Using rope techniques, we work at locations that would be difficult to access with standard equipment.
Hertel are committed to increasing safety and quality by using innovative alternative access methods whenever possible. Rope Access is not intended as a replacement for traditional methods of access such as Scaffolding. However, Rope Access can often provide a more cost-effective, safer alternative in complex access situations.
The nature of rope access reduces project time, lowering downtime and minimising the impact on ongoing operations, significantly reducing the cost to clients in comparison to traditional methods. Rope Access has brought tremendous benefits to our customers. All of our experienced personnel are IRATA qualified, ensuring that work is carried out in a safe, reliable manner.
Naturally, the flexibility of Rope Access lends itself to any of the industries in which Hertel work, in any location. Hertel’s experience is extensive, and includes power installations (including wind turbines), petro-chemical/chemical plants, and the maritime and offshore industries.
Technicians are not only trained in access, but are multi-disciplinary operatives. Services offered can range from maintenance services such as coatings and insulation, to specialist services such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), inspections and plant integrity.
