In Singapore Hertel started up with a representative office of two in 2007. Within four years’ time it has multiplied its employees by thousand and has become one of the market leaders in industrial construction and maintenance services in Singapore.

Story of Hertel in Singapore

Hertel is a multi-disciplinary projects and maintenance contractor, specialising in core services of scaffolding, insulation, painting and corrosion protection, and mechanical services. Additional know-how, capacity and experience in the Singaporean industry was brought to the company through the acquisition of two renown local companies.

Kok Chang
In 2008 Hertel acquired Kok Chang Scaffolding. This major player in the scaffolding business was founded by Mr. Ang Chwee Wang on the 8th of October 1998. He started off in a 200-square-foot rented container. Twelve years later he owned a flourishing scaffolding company, was the regional market leader and had a 58,000-square-foot office at 60 Joo Koon Circle. Hertel finalised the takeover in April 2008. The company is now known as Hertel Kok Chang.

Tong Hoi
In 2009 Hertel further expanded by the acquisition of the well-reputed mechanical and engineering company Tong Hoi Engineering Ltd, which was founded in 1981. After the takeover this company was renamed Hertel Tong Hoi. With this new company on board Hertel, could not only offer outstanding services in insulation and access in Singapore, but also became a major player in mechanical engineering.
