Hertel to highlight infrared thermography benefits at WIACO

Hertel’s head of the Plant Integrity department Peter Stulen will be speaking at this year’s World Insulation and Acoustic Conference (WIACO) being held 19-21 September in Paris.

He will be outlining the role of infrared thermography as a tool to determine energy losses in large industrial installations.

Infrared thermography is used to monitor the condition of insulation and possible corrosion under insulation. It can also help to identify asbestos in amongst other insulation materials as well as determine energy losses of insulated and non-insulated systems.

The invitation for Peter to speak at the conference is recognition of the increasing importance of infrared thermography in improving efficiency in energy intensive industries.

Hertel’s Plant Integrity team combine the power of infrared thermography with expertise in process engineering to generate energy appraisals, calculating current performance and identifying areas for improvement along with the consequent cost and energy savings.

Details of the WIACO conference can be found here.
