Major order for MAG by GNS
GNS Gesellschaft für Nuklear-Service mbH, Essen (GNS) has recently awarded MWL APPARATEBAU GmbH GRIMMA, Grimma (MAG) with fabrication and supply of 100 transport and storage vessels type CONSTOR for disposal of burnt down fuel rods.
Each vessel has a length of 5 meter and a weight of about 100 ton. The delivery will take place within two years until summer 2010.
MAG managing director Dr. Andreas Barg: “For our company this order is by far the biggest of the nearly 140 years history, just a milestone. And at the same time an acknowledgement of know how and experience of the highly-qualified staff who therefore can trust in a solid basic workload. We do thank GNS for the partnerlike confidence during the complete more than one year acquisition phase.”
MAG employs about 130 people. MAG is a subsidiary of the 1895 founded Hertel Group, headquarter in Rotterdam and worldwide 6.500 employees.
